Choose the skill you want to improve
Good practice has one clear purpose. A short focused session is usually more useful than throwing without tracking a target.
Bob's 27
Start on 27 points. Hit the current double to add its value; miss all three darts and subtract it.
9 Darts Double Out
Choose a finish and give yourself nine darts to complete it. Record success rate by target.
Twenty scoring
Throw a fixed number of visits at 20 and track total score, low visits and number of trebles.
Count Up
Use a fixed number of darts and aim for the highest possible total while maintaining grouping.
Round the Clock
Move from 1 to 20 in order to train board coverage and controlled singles.
Shanghai practice
On each number, aim to hit a single, double and triple within one visit.
41–60 checkouts
Practise common two-dart finishes and record how many attempts each score takes.
Catch 40
Work through selected checkouts under a fixed-dart limit and score successful finishes.
