How Shanghai darts works
Each round has one active number. In round one, only darts in number 1 score. In round two, only number 2 scores, and the sequence continues to the final chosen round.
A single scores the face value, a double scores twice the number and a triple scores three times the number. Hits elsewhere on the board score zero for that round.
What is a Shanghai?
A Shanghai is a single, double and triple of the active number in the same three-dart visit. The darts may be thrown in any order.
Single 6 + double 6 + triple 6 scores 36 points and completes a Shanghai.
